Did you receive a letter about your vehicle and do not know whether it corresponds to a reall or maintenance? Before booking a repair, separate both queries. This guide from Auto Repair Miami LLC helps you organize the information and questions you should take.
Check the right vehicle
In NHTSA.gov / recalls You can check the remaining recalls by VIN. The VIN has 17 characters and is usually next to the windscreen on the driver's side or in the record. Check that you copied it correctly. Search for only year and model offers general information, does not by itself confirm that your unit is affected.
What the result means
A result without pending recalls is not a mechanical inspection. The tool has limits: it may not include recent campaigns whose VIN is still incorporated, recalls already repaired or certain old campaigns. If you received a notification, follow your instructions and consult the manufacturer or concessionaire, even if you have doubts about the online result.
Prepare two lists for your date
Campaign list: keep the letter, campaign number, date of consultation and the manufacturer's response. Ask the concessionaire how to coordinate the solution and whether there are temporary safety instructions. Do not take for granted that a maintenance visit will resolve the campaign.
Maintenance list: It brings together thousands, service history and specific symptoms. It notes what you want to review and requests an estimated before authorizing jobs. A recall letter does not necessarily explain a noise, vibration or a light from the board.
If you are evaluating a used car, combine this consultation with the preparation of a pre-purchase inspection. Ask the seller for documentation of the repairs made; do not replace a professional review with a screenshot.
Recall and workshop service: not the same
Contact the dealer indicated to process the repair of the recall. Auto Repair Miami does not claim to be authorized to run the manufacturer's campaigns. For independent maintenance or symptoms we can coordinate a consultation. Do not publish your registration, insurance or personal data in social media comments.

Recall look up or maintenance appointment?
Use the official NHTSA recall look up with your VIN. A model-level search is not confirmation for your specific vehicle. Do not open recall result does not establish mechanical condition. Follow any manufacturer notice and ask its dealer about the campaign and safety instructions.
Keep back paperwork separate from your maintenance questions. Bring service records, mileage and a clear symptom description. Ask for an estimate before authorizing work. Auto Repair Miami does not claim authorization to perform manufacturer recall campaigns. For a used-car purchase, a look up does not replace a professional inspection.
