Does the ABS light stay on? Before buying parts or deleting the notice, write down what appears on the board and check your vehicle's manual. If you notice that the car is unusually stopping, stop in a safe place and ask for assistance; do not drive to the workshop to try it.
ABS is not the name of a broken piece
The ABS helps to avoid the locking of the wheels during a braking. The Ford manual consulted distinguishes the momentary check ignition by giving contact to a warning that appears during the driving. What information to prepare without driving tests
- Year, brand, model and approximate mileage.

- If the notice disappears after the start or remains, and what other messages appear.
- When you first observed it and if there were recent jobs, without assuming that they are the cause.
- Any change in the pedal, noise or difficulty stopping the vehicle.
If a brake notice also appears, there is a loss of effectiveness or you are not sure you can stop normally, prioritise the assistance and the instructions of the manual. Do not make strong brakes to check the ABS or delete codes before documenting the problem.
